Digitisation of Fire Pump System
A small motor pump assembly provided a continuous water supply for safety reasons but could not be turned off. To optimize this system, a pressure switch and flow meter were integrated with a digital program that controlled an inverter.
This setup allowed the pump to operate at low pressure when not in use, reducing energy consumption, and quickly ramp up to high pressure when needed. As a result, energy savings were achieved, and the pump’s lifespan was extended.
This case is a perfect example of how digitization can drive sustainability, improve efficiency while reducing operating costs.
