Process Water Pump Upgrade for Efficiency & Reliability
Two industrial process water pumps were experiencing frequent failures due to being incorrectly specified for the required duty.
The solution involved replacing both with larger pumps, running at slower speeds and controlled by inverters to maintain precise pressure. The new pumps and motors were mounted on precision alignment bases to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
This upgrade delivered a significant energy saving, alongside a major reliability improvement — with pump maintenance intervals now extended by 5 to 6 times, compared to the previous setup.
